Ace Energy Wins Multiple NYSERDA Awards
Buffalo, NY November 18, 2008 - The New York State Energy Research and
Development Authority (NYSERDA) named Ace Energy, Inc. the winner of the New York
Energy $mart Small Commercial Lighting Program (SCLP) Third Quarter 2008
Installation Competition for most projects completed, as well as the winner of the most
square footage completed for the quarter.
This is the third consecutive year Ace Energy has been honored by NYSERDA as an
industry leader in energy-efficient lighting solutions.
"We're proud to have developed a great working relationship with NYSERDA over the
years", said Martin Fanaro, director of engineering at Ace Energy. "NYSERDA has really
helped increase exposure for energy efficiency measures, and with record high rebates
available, energy-efficient lighting solutions are more attractive than ever."
Ace Energy received an award of $1,000 for accomplishing 16 lighting projects and an
additional $1,000 award for completing the greatest square footage for the quarter. The
energy-efficient lighting upgrades were primarily conducted at schools and
manufacturing facilities to cut overhead costs, reduce their carbon footprint, and improve
light levels.
"NYSERDA is rewarding businesses for making sound economic and environmental
decisions", said Stephen Smith, field operations manager for Ace Energy. "Today it
seems that everyone is looking for ways to reduce operating costs. People are attracted
to lighting solutions because they offer immediate results with short payback periods."
Martin Fanaro accepted the award from NYSERDA representative, Kenneth Latal, at a
meeting held at Ace Energy's Buffalo, NY headquarters earlier this month.
